"Rocky"

Rocky was a Good Dog. What better description can man's best friend have? I'm not a fan of "chocolate labradors". I am a fan of Labrador Retrievers, no matter what color their fur is. Rocky was the first Lab that had all the qualities I want, that happened to be Chocolate in color. She could have been purple. She still would have been a Good Dog.

Rocky lived with me from birth to death. I held her for her first breaths and was holding her when she took her last one, almost 15 and a half years of doggie devotion. Her competition career was brief, not because of her own shortcomings, but because of mine. She qualified for the Junior Hunter title early in her life, before major changes in my household, and became a certified Delta Society Pet Partner as a gracefully aged senior citizen, as I became involved in dog competition again.

Rocky lives on in memories, photos, stories and through memories of her offspring, of which two lived here, Int. Ch. Normandy Yellow Olive, CD, NA, NAJ, PP and Normandy Four Leaf Clover, CD, RE, OA, AXP, AXJ, OJP, PP. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into her life.

Rocky's Accomplishments

Rocky was bred twice and produced lovely puppies in both litters. The first breeding was to Ch. Somersett Old Black Magic, "Obie", and the second to Ch. Cedarwood's Master Gunnar, "Gander". We kept two yellow females from her litter with Gander, Clover and Olivia.
